Revision History ---------------- 1. A.02.xx original version 2. A.03.xx includes installation update. 3. A.04.xx 1100 pump added 4. B.02.xx 1200 pump added 5. B.04.02 1290 pump added Contribution Purpose -------------------- In case you have very sensitive columns, you may want to modify the flow rate and the solvent composition slowly when you are starting up your LC. This macro allows you to do this in case you have a 1xx0 quaternary pump. The macro will also switch the lamps on in your LC system. As many time intervals as you wish can be defined to change flow rates and solvent composition. This macro is based on SLOWFLOW.MAC (macro contribution 7 on the User Contributed Library disk). It was modified not to be interactive anymore. When the macro is executed, it will use these parameters and it will then control the pump and slowly modify the flow rate and the solvent composition. NOTES: - This macro only runs in an online instrument session! - This macro does NOT check if you enter impossible solvent compositions; the specified parameters will be downloaded to the pump without consistency check. - This macro was designed to work with a 1xx0 quaternary pump only. - This is a user contributed macro. It is not officially supported by Agilent Technologies. Contribution Structure ---------------------- One macro file, 'startup.mac'. Prerequisites ------------- - MS operating system as supported by the revision of the ChemStation in use - The LC ChemStation software, Rev A.04.xx or higher Installation ------------ - Copy the macro to the ChemStation's executable directory, 'C:\Chem32\CORE' by default. Use --- You have to edit the first section of the macro to set flow rates and solvent compositions you need. Load and start the macro with: macro STARTUP.MAC,go or load the macro with: macro STARTUP.MAC and start it by entering: STARTUP
